Video can be a very effective tool<\/a> for employee training. Videos are engaging. They\u2019re fun. Memorable. Not to mention, cost-effective. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

<\/span>1. Tell a story  <\/strong><\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

In his world-renowned book, Sapiens: A Brief History of Humankind<\/em>, Yuval Noah Harari does an excellent job of explaining just how important stories are to us as a species. He states:<\/p>\n\n\n

\n \u201cHomo sapiens is a storytelling animal that thinks in stories rather than in numbers or graphs, and believes that the universe itself works like a story, replete with heroes and villains, conflicts and resolutions, climaxes and happy endings.\u201d<\/em><\/strong>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n

It makes sense then for stories to be a great device to use if you want your training sessions to be more memorable. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

A training video that grips your new employees<\/a> with an engaging story is bound to linger on in their memory – and have a more lasting impact – than a written handbook detailing roles and responsibilities. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
